Clinical neuropsychology has evolved rapidly in recent years both in Greece and internationally. Unlike its previous role in diagnosis, which focused on identifying brain damage, its role today is broader.

Its usefulness lies in the description and investigation of behavioral patterns and in the design of rehabilitation programs. As the role of clinical neuropsychiatric assessment expands, it becomes increasingly clear that it is an integral part of the daily operations of clinics and hospitals where individuals with dysfunction or damage to the central nervous system are hospitalized, which is not limited to neurosurgical, neurological, and psychiatric clinics.
