The Scientific Society for the Study of Feres - Velestino - Rigas gladly and with satisfaction welcomes the publication in Albanian of the revolutionary texts of Rigas Velestinlis (1757 - 1798), the pioneering revolutionary of the Balkan region, who had wisely and methodically prepared his revolutionary plan for the uprising of the enslaved peoples of the Balkans against long-lasting Ottoman tyranny.

In order to have a ready constitutional map with which he could democratically govern his multinational state, respecting the language and religion of each people, Rigas translated the French Constitution, to which he added some important elements of his own. His Constitution, four years after the French one, is considered the first of Greece and the other Balkan countries.

However, in order for the pioneering political thought of the revolutionary Rigas Velestinlis to become more widely known, he has planned the translation and publication of his Revolutionary Works (Revolutionary Manifesto, Rights of Man, Constitution, and Thourios) in various languages. They have already been published in Bulgarian, Romanian, Serbian, and Italian, while preparations are underway for publication in English, German, French, Spanish, and Russian.
