I read comments about other air purifiers after I bought it. From what I understood, they all use the same mechanism and change filters and Watts. Most reviews on other purifiers have been written by smokers, I don't smoke and it just seemed good to me. The air that the machine releases has a pleasant smell but otherwise it is just a fan that pulls air from the back where there is a HEPA filter, pushes it into the front cover which has 2 cables that emit electrons and comes out ionized. I suppose if you put a 25Watt vacuum cleaner to constantly pull air, it will do about the same job.
