Clear- Locking Nut: Special metal string guide at the top of the neck (nut) with tightening screws, which “locks” the strings to keep the guitar perfectly in tune when using a double-locking system (e.g. Floyd Rose).
- Tremolo Block: The solid metal block (usually made of brass or steel) at the bottom of the bridge, located inside the guitar body. This is where the springs are hooked, and it directly affects the volume and sustain of the sound.
- Tremolo Wagon: The individual component on the bridge on which each string rests. It adjusts the string height (action) and its scale length (intonation).
- Arm: The metal arm that screws or snaps into the bridge, allowing the guitarist to move the tremolo by hand while playing.
- Left-handed: Mirror-image component design, made specifically for left-handed guitars so the arm and adjustments are accessible from the left side without interference.
- Right-handed: Designed for standard right-handed guitars, where the arm, threads, and asymmetries of the mechanism are located on the right side of the instrument.
