Clear- Bolahenk: Short and particularly high-pitched (primo) ney, ideal for solo playing and high frequencies.
- Kiz: The classic "student" starter. It has a convenient size for the fingers and a clear, bright sound.
- Mansur: The most popular and standard size ney. Ideal for ensembles, with a deep and full sound.
- Mustahsen: Medium to large-sized ney, tuned to C sharp. It produces a particularly sweet, warm, and deep sound, ideally bridging the gap between high-pitched and very bass traditional instruments.
- Sah: Long and very deep-toned ney. Requires a wide finger stretch and advanced breathing technique.
- Supurde: Smaller in size and higher-pitched ney, suitable for fast passages and smaller hands.
- Yildiz: Medium-sized ney with balanced tuning, very common in educational series.
