It is measured in micrometres (mic) and determines the film’s resistance to tearing and the stability of the pallet. Fewer microns are suitable for light loads, while higher values are recommended for heavy or sharp objects.
up to 17: Thin and elastic film, ideal for light loads or uniform pallets. It offers material savings and ease of application, reducing packaging weight without sacrificing stability under normal conditions.
from 18 to 22: Medium thickness film, ideal for securing standard weight pallets. It offers a good balance between strength and cost-effectiveness, protecting goods from dust and moisture during transport.
from 23 and above: Film ideal for heavy or sharp-edged loads. It offers high tear resistance and is suitable for securely wrapping heavy loads or pallets with sharp corners.
