- Free diving: If the watch has a Surface Time indicator, then it is suitable for free diving. This measurement is vital, as it accurately determines when the body has recovered enough oxygen to safely make the next dive.
- Scuba Diving: If the watch has a Dive Computer function, it is suitable for Scuba Diving. It automatically calculates decompression limits and safety stops based on depth and time, ensuring a fully controlled and safe ascent.
- Speargun: It helps ensure the diver’s safety by recording apnea time, depth, and recovery time at the surface.
- Diving Watch: Designed for use in the sea, it records the time and depth of your dive, while being highly water-resistant. However, it does not calculate safe diving limits, as a Dive Computer does.
- Dive Computer: It tracks dive time and depth and calculates in real time the safe underwater time limits and decompression, helping the diver dive more safely.
- Depth Gauge: It shows exactly how many meters below the surface of the sea you are at any moment when you are swimming or diving.
- Temperature: Measures the water temperature during the dive. It helps you check whether the water is too cold, so you can protect yourself from hypothermia and choose the appropriate diving suit for your safety and comfort.
- Total Dive Time: It measures the total time you are underwater from the moment the dive begins. It is essential for correctly calculating your safety limits and knowing when you should start ascending to the surface.
- Surface Time: Shows how much time should pass between two dives so your body can rest and you can dive again safely.
- Chronograph: It allows you to time specific intervals during or after the dive. It is very useful for accurately measuring the time of mandatory safety stops before surfacing, as well as rest time on the surface.
- GPS: It allows you to save the exact point in the sea where you started and where you completed your dive. The GPS signal is essential for recording your route and finding suitable dive spots.
- Compass: It helps with underwater navigation by showing the cardinal directions and your course beneath the water. It is extremely useful in murky waters or deep dives, allowing you to navigate safely and easily find the exit point.
- Alarm Clock: Audible or vibrating alerts that warn you during a dive. You can set them to notify you immediately if you exceed the allowed depth, the time available to you, or if you are ascending too quickly.
- Sleep Mode: Energy-saving mode that turns off the watch when you are not using it or when you are sleeping, so it doesn’t waste battery unnecessarily and is ready for the next dive.
