How Does Urea Work

Urea (Urea) is one of the most effective ingredients in foot care. It is naturally produced by our body and is part of the skin’s Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF).

Its action changes dramatically depending on its concentration in the product.

✨ Its Dual Function

Humectant action: At lower concentrations, it “attracts” and retains water in the deeper layers of the skin, strengthening the skin barrier.
Keratolytic action: At higher concentrations, it breaks down the proteins (keratin) of dead cells. In simple terms, it softens hard, thickened skin and calluses.

✨ Creams 5% to 10% (Daily Care)

What it does: Provides deep hydration without causing irritation.

When to choose it: If you don’t have severe calluses, but want to keep your feet soft all year round. It is also ideal for diabetic feet (after consulting with a doctor/podiatrist).

✨ Creams 15% to 20% (Gentle Exfoliation & Repair)

What it does: Combines intensive hydration with gentle exfoliation of dead cells.
When to choose it: If your heels feel rough, with small white lines or slight cracking.

✨ 30% Creams (Targeted Regeneration)

What it does: Breaks down the hard layer of the skin and allows moisture to penetrate deeply.

When to choose it: For deep heel cracks and stubborn calluses.

Tip: Use it locally on problem areas for 1-2 weeks until the skin softens, then switch to maintenance with 10%-20%.

✨ Creams 40% to 50% (Intensive Therapeutic Action)

What it does: Works almost like a “chemical peel.” It dissolves very thick superficial layers of keratin.
When to choose it: For very hard calluses, hyperkeratosis, or to prepare thickened nails before fungal treatment.
Warning: Apply exclusively locally to the hardened area and not to the entire sole.

Usage Tip: Apply the high-concentration cream (30%-50%) at night after bathing on dry skin and wear cotton socks. Never apply it to open wounds or bleeding cracks, as it may cause intense stinging.
