Shopping on Skroutz Without VAT: Now, Faster and Easier Than Ever!

Shopping on Skroutz Without VAT: Now, Faster and Easier Than Ever!

If you are a freelancer or have a business subject to the standard VAT regime, we have great news for you!

B2B technology purchases subject to Article 39a are now easier on Skroutz, thanks to the new simplified identification process.

Buy mobile phones, laptops, tablets and game consoles with VAT exemption (24%) at the time of purchase even faster.

The only thing you need to benefit from Article 39a is to upload the required documents directly from your mobile for identification.

How to start your B2B order

Add the products you need and in the cart select "Invoice issuance".

The Skroutz system will automatically recognize if the items you selected are eligible for the exemption under Article 39a.

If they are supported, you will need to verify your business information using one of the two methods below.

1. New Method: Identification by Uploading Documents

This is the fastest way if you haven't set up AADE's digital services and you have your company documents handy.

Depending on your business's legal form, you will need to upload the following:

  • Freelancers / Sole Proprietorships: A single identification document is sufficient (your Police ID or Passport).

  • Legal Entities (SA, LP, GP, PC): The Company Representation Certificate is required, as well as the identification document of the legal representative.

  • Purchase by an authorized third party: If a partner receives or orders on your behalf, an Authorization (issued via gov.gr or with certified signature) and the ID of the authorized person will be needed.

Useful B2B Tip: You don't need an office scanner to upload! Take a clear photo of the documents with your company phone and upload it directly. The system accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG files (with a maximum size of 25MB per file).

For documents issued via gov.gr, make sure the QR code has not been altered before uploading, so that their authenticity can be easily verified from the official government page.

2. Identification via AADE Service 39a

If you prefer fully automated processes and often make purchases with an invoice through integration with AADE.

To use this method on Skroutz, you must first have set up your account on Taxisnet:

  1. Create Special Codes (from the “Special Codes Management” option in Taxis).

  2. Install the required AADE program on your computer.

  3. Register for service 39a and designate who the Representative of the business is (this step is mandatory even if you are self-employed).

  4. Issue a One-Time Password (OTP) for the representative.

Once you complete these steps, return to your Skroutz cart. The only information you will need to enter at checkout is the representative’s details and the active OTP.

Useful B2B Tip: OTP codes have a short expiration time for security reasons. Make sure your code is active at the exact moment you click to complete your order.

Invest in Your Business Smartly

Upgrading your professional equipment doesn’t have to be a “thorn” in your business’s finances. By taking advantage of Article 39a for VAT-free purchases on Skroutz, you ensure liquidity and speed.

Whether you choose to upload your ID or use your AADE credentials, the process is designed to meet your modern B2B needs.
