The Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max are the new generation of flagship devices from Xiaomi, which were announced in China a few weeks ago and will be presented in detail shortly before the Mobile World Congress 2026. 

Their main features are the new cameras, the dual display with an extra panel on the back, and their excellent performance. 

The Pro Max is the top version, while the Pro offers balanced performance in a smaller size.

Xiaomi 17 Pro Max

The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1200×2608 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and top brightness of 3,500 nits, offering an outstanding visual experience. 

The most important feature is the secondary display on the back, measuring 2.9 inches, which is used for notifications, time display, music control, and also as an auxiliary screen for selfies with the main camera. 

The device houses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 3nm processor, 12GB or 16GB RAM, and storage up to 1TB UFS 4.1. 

The triple rear camera consists of a 50MP wide-angle sensor (f/1.7), a 50MP 5x telephoto (f/2.6), and a 50MP ultra-wide (f/2.4), all with Leica lenses. 

Its battery is huge, with a capacity of 7,500 mAh supporting 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Xiaomi 17 Pro

The Xiaomi 17 Pro retains the same display technology, but with a 6.3-inch size and 1220×2656 pixel resolution, offering a higher pixel density (464 ppi). The second screen on the back is smaller, at 2.7 inches, but with similar functions. 

The processor and memory are the same as those of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, with options of up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The camera is also a triple 50MP setup, but the telephoto lens has an f/3.0 aperture and different focusing specifications. 

The battery is 6,300 mAh, with the same charging protocols, and the device is lighter (192g) and more compact. The Xiaomi 17 Pro is suitable for users who prefer a smaller size without sacrificing performance.

The basic Xiaomi 17 model does not have a secondary display on the back, offering a more traditional design. The main display is 6.3 inches, similar to the Pro, but with different specifications.

The processor is the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, with 12GB or 16GB RAM and storage up to 1TB. 

The camera is a triple 50MP setup, but with different lens configurations. 

The battery is 7,000 mAh in the Chinese version and 6,330 mAh in the global version, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The basic model is the most economical option for users who are not interested in the secondary display.
