The device has been in development for more than 8 years and, as the insider reports on Weibo, its external display will be 5.49 inches, bringing it quite close to the dimensions of the Oppo Find N5.

It will of course have a thinner and wider design, while its internal display will reach 7.74 inches when opened, coming close to a small iPad. As the insider notes, there will be significant changes in the aspect ratio of the foldable iPhone’s displays, and this is something Apple is currently examining with its partners and designers.

This insider has proven to have quite reliable information, given that he revealed details about the iPhone 12 mini before it was announced, as well as about the sensor of the iPhone 15 and the size changes in the iPhone 16 Pro. Regarding the first foldable iPhone, he says his information points to a launch in 2026 or 2027, confirming what market analysts such as Ming Chi-Kuo and Jeff Pu have said.
