Nintendo confirmed everything that had been written and reported in recent days and officially unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2. The reveal took place through a 2-minute trailer on YouTube, and it seems that the console has been designed with the original Nintendo system in mind, in its LCD screen version. The Nintendo Switch 2 will play almost all Nintendo Switch games (it is stated that more will be announced on the company’s website in the coming days), both those purchased digitally and those purchased in cartridge form.

The Joy-Cons are also larger in size, as is the console’s screen itself, although we still do not know the exact dimensions. The buttons on the controllers have grown larger, while these two control units for videogames will attach magnetically to the main body. Through a special sensor, the Joy-Con will also be able to function as a mouse, which the user will slide across a surface. 

The machine’s stand has also been changed and now, instead of the classic small “leg,” it has a large U-shaped base stand. The Dock, on the other hand, works in the same way as on the first Nintendo Switch and outputs video to a TV when the console is placed inside it. 

The trailer also featured a video from a Mario Kart game, which is believed to be Mario Kart 9, although we do not have any further information. More about the Nintendo Switch 2 launch, the price and release date, its technical specifications, and the games that will accompany it, we learned at the Nintendo Direct held on April 2.
