Submerged: The first scripted film exclusively for Apple Vision Pro is a reality
Apple has introduced the first scripted film shot using Apple Immersive Video technology and unveiled new immersive films for Apple Vision Pro. This new media format uses ultra-high-resolution 3D video and Spatial Audio to place viewers at the center of the action.
Submerged was filmed in Prague, Brussels, and Malta using Apple Immersive Video cameras, which feature two lenses for recording 8K 3D video.
The film Submerged, written and directed by Oscar-winning director Edward Berger, is available for Apple Vision Pro users. It is a thriller set on a World War II-era submarine, with an immersive experience that makes viewers feel like they are with the crew.

This technology opens up new horizons for storytelling and is expected to change the way movies and music performances are created. Users can enjoy Apple Immersive Video through the Apple TV app in many countries, while in China it is available through the Migu Video and Tencent Video apps.
A deep diving tank was constructed in Prague and then sent to Belgium for one of the final scenes of the movie.
