Sunscreen Buying Guide: Find the right one for you!
The sun burns... those who do not wear the right sunscreen!
Want to enjoy the sun safely? Come and let’s find the right sunscreen for your needs!
Before we begin, what are the UVA and UVB radiation indexes, and why should we protect ourselves from them?
UVA rays: Ultraviolet radiation responsible for skin aging, as it affects the cells that produce elastin and collagen. It penetrates deeper into our skin and increases the risk of skin cancer. Its effects are present throughout the day, all year round.
UVB rays: Ultraviolet radiation responsible for sunburns, which, when repeated, can cause skin cancer. These rays stay on the surface of the skin and produce melanin. Their effect is more intense in summer and mainly during midday hours.
1. Sun Protection Factor (SPF)
It shows how much a sunscreen protects against the sun’s harmful UVB radiation. The number corresponding to SPF indicates how many times longer someone can stay in the sun without burning, compared to the time needed to burn without sunscreen protection. For example, if your skin needs 10 minutes to burn in the sun without sunscreen protection and you use a sunscreen with SPF 30, then you can stay in the sun for 300 minutes (10 minutes x 30) before burning.

Do you know what you want? We know what you should pay attention to!
1. For “every day”
Sunscreen is not necessary only in summer. Protect your skin all year round with the right face sunscreen.
If you have oily skin, choose a face sunscreen specifically for your skin or with a matte finish, if you don’t want it to shine. Also, if needed, you can choose an anti-dark spots sunscreen.
2. For running and sports activities
If you exercise outdoors and are exposed to the sun, you should choose a sunscreen that offers long-lasting protection and is sweat-resistant. Prefer light textures, such as gel or lotion, and high protection with SPF 50.
3. For the beach
The place where you need it most, since a larger part of your body is exposed to the sun. Get separate sunscreen for the face or body, or choose one that is ideal for both. Especially for the face, make sure it meets your needs.
And after the sun, what then?
After sun! After sun products relieve any irritation, redness, and burns that the sun may cause, while moisturizing and rebuilding the skin. Their formula soothes irritation and inflammation and is more effective than regular body creams for burns.
Don’t forget! Often there may be differences in a product based on its overall features as well as its construction. Before deciding, read other users’ reviews too, to see their opinion!
