Invited to a spring wedding? See what to wear to a wedding in spring

Usually, as soon as the weather warms up, wedding invitations start coming in.

No matter how beautiful the moment is, I know that many times the process of finding what to wear is a big headache. Especially in spring, when the weather is transitional, putting together a sophisticated outfit seems difficult, with choosing the right outerwear being the most challenging part.

But don't worry at all, because today you will learn everything you need to know and get dozens of ideas on what to wear to a spring wedding. Remember that dressing depends on the style of the wedding and what is stated on the invitation.

Do’s & Don’ts

Before you choose what to wear, it’s good to know the style rules that apply to a wedding.

Do’s

  1. If you are a close relative, it’s good to stand out.

  2. Yes to pastel, neutral, and clean colors.

  3. Floral prints are a good choice.

  4. Wear a heel height you can walk in comfortably so you don’t end up barefoot.

  5. Keep your personal style in your outfit, whatever you wear.

Don’ts

  1. We don’t wear white because it is the color of the bride.

  2. We don’t wear red because it is the most intense color of all and can overshadow the bride.

  3. We don’t wear black because it is associated with mourning. You can choose something black and white.

  4. We don’t wear jeans.

  5. Avoid very bold and loud patterns.

  6. Avoid very revealing clothes.

Some clothing and accessory options for a spring wedding

1. Maxi dress

A maxi dress is always a good choice, as it adds movement and elegance to the look and matches the romantic atmosphere of the wedding. In addition, it keeps the legs covered in strictly religious settings. The maxi dress also helps a lot if you do not want to wear heels.

2. Midi dress

The midi dress is another suitable choice and instantly creates an elegant outfit, especially if paired with a pair of heels or a pair of sandals. It is a length in which you will feel comfortable, and if it is cold, you can build the right layering.

3. Suit

If you don’t know what outerwear to wear because of the weather, or the dresses for a wedding don’t quite suit your style, you’ve just found the solution to your problem. Choose to wear a suit and it will make things much easier for you. You’ll be very comfortable and can style it in many ways to achieve the look you want.

4. Outerwear

In spring, the weather is in a transitional stage and you never know what temperature and weather conditions you will encounter on the wedding day. Whatever the case, we want something chic that will match the outfit you choose. Pay attention to lengths, especially if you wear a dress. A good choice would be a nice spring coat or an elegant leather one.

5. Shoes

Pay great attention to shoes so that you don't end up with flip-flops. How many times have we worn a beautiful high heel but couldn't walk in it at all. That era is over. Choose an elegant shoe in which, however, you will truly feel comfortable to wear all day long and dance at the party.

6. Clutch

Ideally, we prefer a mini chic clutch that can hold the essentials. Think of something like an envelope, a small pouch, or a small crossbody. The goal is for it to act like a piece of jewelry for the rest of the outfit.

7. Accessories

Think of all the other accessories as decorations on the base you have chosen. It is important to choose the right jewelry for your look, but you can play more with elements and colors. If you choose not to wear a coat, you can take a shawl to throw over your shoulders in case you get cold.

Remember to be yourself and wear something that expresses you and makes you feel beautiful. This, combined with the rules of Savoir Vivre, will help you create the most appropriate outfit for a spring wedding.
