CHristina Michalopoulou

Christina Michalopoulou was born in Athens in 1968. She works as a psychologist and psychotherapist. She studied in the UK, initially earning a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (BA Hons) from the University of North London, a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Keele University, and finally, a degree in Psychology from the Open University. After completing her studies, she remained in London, where she worked at the Promis Clinic (a private clinic for addictions and eating disorders). In 1994, she returned to Greece and began working at the Psychosocial Support Center of Ag. Varvara (part of the Hellenic Center for Intercultural Psychiatry). From 1997 to 2002, she worked as a psychologist responsible for the kindergarten and primary school at the Geitonas Schools (Vari), and from 2003 to 2009, at the Kostea-Geitonas Schools (Pallini) as head of the Psychopedagogical Support and Counseling Department for the Gymnasium, Lyceum, and IB. Since September 2009, she has been collaborating with the "Mary Argyri-Laimou" Nursery and Kindergarten. From 1994 to the present, she has been working privately (adult psychotherapy with a psychoanalytic orientation). Her areas of interest include psychopedagogy, grief, and psychosomatics, in which she has been training in recent years (Hellenic Society of Psychosomatics).
