Zacharias Palios

Zacharias Palios was born in Chios in 1961. He received his Ph.D. in the Sociology of Education in 1988 from Cardiff University College (UK). He taught at the University of Crete as a specialist scientist from 1992, and in 1994, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Philosophy at the same university. In 2009, he joined the teaching and research staff of the Hellenic Open University, where he had been an associate since 2000. His academic and research interests focus on the fields of the History and Sociology of Education, as well as continuing education and training. He has participated in a series of research projects and has supervised the completion of four doctoral dissertations. ([email protected])
