Adamantios G. Aygoustidis

Protopresbyter Adamantios Avgoustidis is a psychiatrist, professor at the Faculty of Theology of the University of Athens, and General Vicar of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens. In recent years, he has been directing the "Pastoral Training Foundation" of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, which offers lifelong education and training to clergy and pastoral staff. He has served as President of the European Council of Pastoral Care and Counseling, a board member of the European Network of Healthcare Chaplaincy, a member of various Synodal Committees, a founding member of the Hellenic Society of Preventive Psychiatry, a member of the "Medicine and Religion" committee of the World Psychiatric Association, and a representative of Greece to the World Health Organization (WHO), among others.
