Iakovos Martidis

Iakovos Th. Martidis was born in 1957 in Drama, where he also grew up. In 1975, he was admitted with a scholarship to the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As part of his specialization in Psychiatry, he received training in family therapy and couples therapy, among other areas. He completed his postgraduate studies in Social Psychiatry with honors. He is a member of various scientific associations and societies focused on mental health and psychotherapy and is a founding member of the Hellenic Society for Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy. He lives and works in Drama as a psychiatrist, engaging in individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, parental counseling, family therapy, and career counseling. Since 1993, he has been consistently organizing psychoeducational seminars throughout the year. These seminars aim to enhance participants' self-awareness and insight while broadening and deepening their perspectives on people and life processes. Additionally, they seek to highlight the deeper needs of the human persona and redefine everyday life in a way that fosters inner fulfillment and cultivates the experience of well-being.
