Menelaos CHaralampidis

Menelaos Charalambidis was born in Athens in 1970. He obtained a degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus and subsequently completed his doctoral dissertation in the field of Modern Greek History at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens. He contributes articles to scientific journals and, as a founding member of the Social History Forum, has organized two conferences on the 1940s and the Interwar period. His research interests focus on the first half of the 20th century, particularly the Occupation period. He is also involved in local and oral history and the history of Athens. He has co-edited the collective volumes "Greek Society in the 1940s: The Era of Ruptures," Thessaloniki, Epikentro, 2012, and "December 1944: The Past and Its Uses," Athens, Alexandria, 2017.
