Tasos Maragos

Tasos Maragos (Tasmar) was born in Syros in 1977. His involvement in creating comics began in 1998 when he moved to Thessaloniki to study graphic design. He has participated in various group exhibitions in Greece and abroad and has collaborated with numerous magazines in the field and beyond. In 2004, he self-published "bigBANG," which won the Comicdom Award for Best Greek Fanzine in 2005 and 2006. After 2007, "bigBANG" was published by Enati Diastasi Editions. In 2007, he self-published issue 0 of "Krak komiks," which became his personal comic series following his collaboration with Giganto books. In 2009, at the Comicdom Awards, the third issue of "Krak komiks" was awarded for its cover, and in 2010, the fourth issue was recognized as the best comic of the previous year. In November 2010, "Super Condom" was released by Jemma Press, a mini-album collecting comic strips published in the L.G.B.T. newspaper City Uncovered from 2006 to 2008. His collaboration with Jemma Press continues with "Krak komiks," with the first scheduled release being issue 6 in April 2011. Today, he lives in Thessaloniki, where he teaches and designs comics.
