
Kostas N. CHatzipateras
Kostas N. Chatzipateras (1920-2002), of Oinousses descent, was born in Piraeus. He studied at the University of Athens and later in Neuchatel, where he earned a Doctorate in Commercial Sciences. During the Occupation, he delivered lectures, wrote articles, and published books in Switzerland to inform the public about the struggles and sacrifices of the Greek people. He established the eponymous Poetry Prize of the "Group of Twelve." In collaboration with Maria Fafaliou-Dragona, he continued his national effort with a series of books, in Greek and English, based on testimonies from World War II.
