Katerina Mitralexi

Born in Athens, the author pursued studies in German Philology, Classical Archaeology, and Ancient History at the University of Freiburg i. Br., and completed a doctoral dissertation in Modern German Literature. They are an associate professor and deputy chair at the Department of German Language and Literature at the University of Athens. Their research interests include 18th and 19th-century German literature, reciprocal literary influences between German and Greek literature, and gender and identity studies. Publications include works on Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Christa Wolf, and Heinrich von Kleist.
