Maria Malakou

Maria Malakou was born in Athens, studied architecture, and worked for years as a freelancer. Since 1996, she has been involved with pre-industrial technologies and later focused on the History of Paper and Watermarks, a subject on which she has published articles and given lectures. During field research in various countries, she had the opportunity to create an ever-expanding collection of traditional handmade papermaking tools, rare books, and other related materials.
