Franco Montanari

Franco Montanari is a Professor of Ancient Greek Philology at the University of Genoa and the director of the Centro Italiano dell'Annee Philologique and the online program "Aristarchus" (www.aristarchus.unige.it). He has authored numerous books and studies on various topics related to ancient studies. Recently, he co-edited "Brill's Companion to Hesiod" (Leiden & Boston) with A. Rengakos and C. Tsagalis. He is also responsible for the new Italian dictionary of the ancient Greek language, "GI - Vocabolario della lingua greca" (2004), and the editor of the Greek translation of "History of Ancient Greek Literature from the 8th Century BC to the 6th Century AD," translated by S. Koutrakis, D. Koukouzikas & K. Sivva, edited by D. I. Iakov & A. Rengakos (Thessaloniki, 2010).
