Raphaël Glucksmann

Raphaël Glucksmann was born in 1979 in Boulogne-Billancourt. A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, he works as a journalist and documentary filmmaker. He is the son of André Glucksmann, and together with his father, he co-authored the book "Mai 68 expliqué à Nicolas Sarkozy" ("May '68 Explained to President Sarkozy"), published by Denoël in 2008. Raphaël Glucksmann described Sarkozy as "perhaps the first situationist President in the history of France" following the president's statements against the May '68 generation. He has served as a columnist for Le Nouvel Observateur and was the director of Le Nouveau Magazine Littéraire, from which he was dismissed due to the magazine's critical articles against President Macron. As an activist, he has actively participated in various missions in Rwanda, Chechnya, Georgia, and Ukraine. He is a co-founder and spokesperson for the political movement Place Publique, which aims to unite all left-wing and ecological political forces operating between Macron's party and Mélenchon's party.
