Andreas CH. Takis

Andreas Takis was born in Athens in 1965. He studied law and philosophy in Athens and Brussels, and he is currently the Deputy Ombudsman responsible for the Human Rights Department. He has been elected as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Currently, he serves as the Secretary General for Migration Policy at the Ministry of the Interior. He has published the works "The Moral Indifference of the Law" (2006) and "On the Freedom of Art" (2008), as well as numerous articles on political and moral philosophy and constitutional law. He has also overseen the Greek edition of John Rawls' "A Theory of Justice" and, together with Antonis Manitakis, has published the collective volume "Terrorism and Rights."
