CHrysoula Petridou - Fotopoulou

Chrysoula Petridou was born in Feres, Evros. She is a kindergarten teacher with two years of study and a graduate of the Pedagogical Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She works in public education and is a mother of two children. During the academic year 1986-1987, she attended the S.E.L.D.E. She also completed a one-year training course in music therapy at CAMPUS and a six-month course at E.L.E.P.E.S. She made her literary debut with her book "Louloudohorio" published by Smyrniotakis, which won the first prize in a national competition. It contains short stories for preschool and early school-aged children. In 1992, she released "A Note on the Moon," featuring her own poems for young children, illustrated by kindergarteners. The same book includes fairy tales written and illustrated by children. In 1998, four books containing episodic fairy tales for preschool and early school age were published by Archipelagos: "Myrto Travels to the Cities with Shapes," "Melpo and Zaharoulis," "The Spring Painting," and "The Strange Orchard." Her works are included in the Kindergarten Anthology, calendars, and various collections aimed at young children. In 1992, her novel "A Black Angel" was awarded by the Parnassos Literary Society. She is a member of the Circle of the Greek Children's Book, the Women's Literary Society, and OMEP.
