Kyriaki Adaloglou

Kyriaki (Koula) Adaloglou was born in Veria in 1953. She studied philology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She earned a master's degree in applied linguistics from the University of Edinburgh and a Ph.D. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She served as a School Counselor for Philologists (1998-2007) and as the director of the Artistic High School of Ampelokipoi in Thessaloniki (2007-2011). She is a member of the authoring team for the books "Expression/Essay," which introduced communicative language teaching in high schools. Additionally, she is part of the philologists' group "Creative Expression," which developed the digital project "Polytropic Language" for teaching Modern Greek. Her study "The Written Expression of Students: Proposals for Its Evaluation and Improvement," published by Kedros in 2007, focuses on writing as a process through various and diverse types of texts. Her narratives and critical notes on contemporary writers have been published in well-known magazines. She has published eight poetry collections, the latest being "Because the Future is a Small Dot," published by Saixpirikon in 2018. She has also published a short story collection: "A Pale Sun Emerged," published by Taxideftis in 2012.
