
Anna Stayrakopoulou
Anna Stavrakopoulou studied philology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Crete. She pursued graduate studies in theater at Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle University and Harvard University (PhD, 1994). She taught at New York University, Bosphorus University (Istanbul), and Harvard (1994-1999). She served as the deputy director of the Onassis Foundation subsidiary in New York. She has been a visiting lecturer at Yale University and the University of Crete. Since 2003, she has been teaching theater studies at the Department of Theater, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She co-edited with Gregory Nagy the volume "Modern Greek Literature: Critical Essays" (Routledge, New York 2003) and has published articles in English and Greek on Greek literature and theater.
