Konstantinos Mantas

Konstantinos Mantas was born in 1966 in Kalamata. He graduated in 1989 from the Department of History and Archaeology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina, specializing in History. He then pursued postgraduate studies in the Department of Classics and Archaeology at the University of Bristol (England), where he obtained a Master of Arts degree (1991) and a PhD in Ancient History (1995). He has published articles in Greek (Archaeology, Historical Issues) and international journals (Eirene, Nikephoros, Polis). He contributed a chapter to the collective work "The History of the Greek City" (2004) and to the 4th volume of "History of the Greeks" (2006), published by Domi. Additionally, he translated from English Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke's work "The Occult Roots of Nazism: The Secret Aryan Cults and Their Influence on Nazi Ideology" (2006). Published by Veretta Editions, he authored the historical studies "Aspects of the Institution of Slavery in the Dialogues of Dio Chrysostom" (2008) and "The Position of Women in Private and Public Life in Late Antiquity" (2009). Since 1999, he has been working in the field of secondary education.
