Maria CHaniotaki

Born in Heraklion, Crete, she attended the Pancretan Educational Institute. She studied civil engineering, piano music, and set design at the Wimbledon School of Art in London, where she also completed her postgraduate studies (Master of Arts). In 1995, she held her first solo exhibition as part of the Postgraduate Graduates' Exhibition at WSA in London, focusing on "Transformation in Theatre and Set Design." She has curated sets and costumes for various performances of works by Greek and foreign authors. Additionally, she is involved in education, teaching set design in seminars for various organizations. In 1998, her book "Aerika" was published by "Ellinika Grammata" publications. In the same year, she held her second solo exhibition at the "Stavlos" Art Gallery. In 1999, her children's story "The Kite Called Shark" was published by Iolkos publications. This was followed by an exhibition at the Art Gallery of the Theatre of the New World, themed "Images of the Crowd."
