Henriette Walter is an emeritus professor of linguistics at the University of Upper Brittany (Université de Haute-Bretagne), President of the Société Internationale de Linguistique Fonctionnelle, a member of the International Council for the French Language, a member of the High Council of the French Language, and a Knight of the Legion of Honor.
