Roula Goliou

Roula Goliou, the co-author of "The Little Encyclopedia of Herbs," is a graduate of the Department of Biology at the University of Patras. She worked as a journalist for the newspaper "Thessaloniki" (1977-80) and, since 1980, has served as an educator in Secondary Education, where she became active in the field of environmental education. She has engaged in social and cultural activities through local associations and organizations, either as an active member or as an elected representative. She has written and continues to write for the local press and magazines, primarily on topics related to education, the environment, and social issues. Since 2000, she has been involved in writing, scientific editing, and translating books, gaining the opportunity to delve into topics of holistic and alternative healing. Her previous books—all published by "Malliaris Paideia"—include: - "200 Herbs and Their Healing Properties," 2007 (reprinted several times) - "Wild Greens on Your Plate," 2013 (2nd edition 2014) - "Herbs in Our Garden and Balcony," 2015 - "Wild Herbs," 2015 - "Edible Plants and Their Healing Properties," 2015.
