Vaios Kalogrias

Vaios Kalogrias was born in 1974 in Karlsruhe, Germany, to Greek immigrant parents. He hails from Ormylia, Chalkidiki, and grew up in Greece. He studied Modern and Contemporary History and Literature at the University of Karlsruhe. In 2006, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the University of Mainz on the topic "Occupation, Resistance, and Collaboration in Macedonia 1941-1944" (forthcoming publication). He participated in the Civil War Studies Network conferences held in Samothrace (2004), Preveza (2005), and Aegina (2007). His articles have been published in the volumes "The Other Captains" (edited by Nikos Marantzidis, Estia Publications) and "Enemy Within the Walls" (edited by Iakovos Michailidis, Ilias Nikolakopoulos, Hagen Fleischer, Hellenic Letters Publications).
