Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Austrian composer (1756-1791), one of the greatest musical geniuses of all time. He was born in Salzburg and was the son of violinist Leopold Mozart. His talent manifested from an early age, composing his first works at the age of six. He served as the first violinist in major orchestras. His rich body of work includes violin concertos, piano concertos, serenades, symphonies, church music, operas, and more. Mozart's famous operas that stood out and were beloved by audiences include "The Abduction from the Seraglio," "The Magic Flute," "The Marriage of Figaro," "Don Giovanni," and "Così fan tutte." He died in poverty at the age of 35. Shortly before his death, he completed the renowned "Requiem" (a composition for a funeral mass).
