Foteini Polychroni

Fotini Polychroni is a psychologist and a lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Athens. She completed her postgraduate studies at the University of Manchester in the UK, where she earned a Master's degree in Educational Psychology and Special Education, followed by a Doctorate from the same university. She has worked in university research centers and schools in the UK on issues related to the early detection of learning difficulties, the psychosocial factors associated with learning challenges, and the evaluation of the effectiveness, design, and implementation of school intervention programs. Since 2001, she has been teaching in higher education at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has participated in training programs for primary and secondary education teachers. She is a member of Greek and international scientific societies, and her work has been published in Greek and international journals and books. In recent years, she has been working as a psychologist at the Counseling Center of the Municipal Nursery of Athens, focusing on assessing difficulties and providing learning and psychological support to preschool and early school-aged children. She also coordinates training programs for parents and preschool educators on topics related to child development.
