Nikolaos Koumartzis

Nikolaos Koumartzis was born in Thessaloniki. He grew up in Evropos, a small village in Kilkis, and since 2001, he has been living in Thessaloniki. He holds a degree from the Department of Informatics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 2002, he has begun publishing his initial studies in magazines and websites related to Greek intellectual exploration, such as "Mystery," "Avaton," "Forbidden History," and websites like www.metafysiko.gr, www.explorers.gr, among others. Among other topics, his research has delved into Greek and Latin metaphysical philosophy, sacred texts of Christianity and other religions, and unknown aspects of the history of Greece and the rest of the world. He prefers to study the history of Byzantium, the medieval history of the Western and Eastern worlds, with a focus on the Crusades. Additionally, through his studies in major libraries of psychic research abroad, he strives to promote the scientific approach to paranormal phenomena in Greece. Throughout his journey in the field of metaphysical exploration, he has chosen to align himself with pioneers, being a member of the Gateway Team, an active member of the large online Greek Metaphysical Community, a member of the British Society for Psychical Research (British SPR), a founding member of the Thessaloniki University Exploration Community (K.A.P.TH.), and coordinator of the nationwide exploratory team "Pytheas." Since early 2004, he has been involved in studying the history, legends, and contemporary enigmas surrounding Greek castles, conducting on-site research and tours of dozens of medieval structures in the country. In 2005, he was honored with the title of Honorary Member by the organization "Medieval Rose."
