Maurice Sartre

Maurice Sartre is a Professor of Ancient History at the University of Tours and a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. He has focused on the history of the Eastern Mediterranean during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Among other works, he has authored the books "L' Orient romain" (1991), "L' Asie Mineure et l' Anatolie d' Alexandre à Dioclétien" (1995), and "D' Alexandre à Zénobie. Histoire du Levant" (2001).
