
Maria Zafeiropoulou
Maria Zafeiropoulou is an Associate Professor at the University of Thessaly. She graduated from the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Philosophy of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As a scholar of the State Scholarships Foundation, she pursued her postgraduate studies in the UK (M. Phil. at the University of Leeds and Ph.D. at the University of Dundee), specializing in Clinical Psychology/Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy. Her research activities focus on the detection, psychological assessment, management, and prevention of emotional difficulties as well as learning and behavioral problems during childhood. The primary aim of her research is the creation, implementation, and evaluation of cognitive-behavioral intervention programs for children, both therapeutic and preventive in nature. Her scientific/writing activities include scientific books, chapters, and articles in Greek and international scientific journals. She is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the Institute for Research and Therapy of Behavior (IEΘΣ), the Hellenic Psychological Society (EΛΨE), the Psychological Society of Northern Greece (ΨEBE), and the Hellenic Society for Behavioral Research (EEΕΣ) for many years.
