Ageliki Strati

Born in Thessaloniki, the author holds degrees from the Department of Archaeology and Art and the Department of Italian Language and Literature at the School of Philosophy, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Since 1979, she has been working as an archaeologist and Byzantinologist at the Archaeological Service of the Ministry of Culture. Her career began at the 12th Ephorate of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Antiquities of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace (1980-1994), followed by the 10th Ephorate, responsible for the regions of Chalkidiki and Mount Athos (1995-2006). Since May 2006, she has been the director of the 16th Ephorate of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Antiquities, which covers the regions of Kastoria and Florina, with its headquarters in the city of Kastoria.
