
Dimitris Mpaslam
Dimitris Baslam was born in December 1967 in Aschaffenburg, Germany, and grew up in Edessa, where he began his involvement with music. He studied double bass at the Contemporary Conservatory of Thessaloniki and has been professionally engaged in music since 1986. He has collaborated in recordings and live performances with artists such as Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Giannis Aggelakas, Sokratis Malamas, Big Sleep, Mark Eitzel, Manolis Famellos, Dimitra Galani, Melina Kana, Nikos Ziogalas, Pavlos Pavlidis, and many others. In October 2005, his first musical fairy tale, "O Gargalistis," was released by "Sony BMG," along with the soundtrack for the film "A Woman Is a Tough Person" by Antonis Kafetzopoulos. In November 2005, the printed version of "O Gargalistis," illustrated by Victor Moschopoulos, was published by "Eponymos Stathmos." His second musical fairy tale, "O Agisilagos," was released in April 2007, again in collaboration with "Sony BMG" and "Eponymos Stathmos."
