Jack L. Davis

Jack L. Davis is a Professor of Greek Archaeology holding the Carl W. Blegen Chair at the University of Cincinnati. He has directed regional archaeological surveys in Kea (1983-84), Nemea (1983-89), and Pylos (1991-95), as well as in the areas of Durrës and Mallakastra in Albania (1998-2005). His most recent work, in collaboration with Fariba Zarinebaf and John Bennet, is "An Historical and Economic Geography of Ottoman Greece: The Southwestern Morea in the 18th Century" (American School of Classical Studies at Athens, 2005). Currently, he is overseeing the study of unpublished findings from Carl W. Blegen's excavations at the Palace of Nestor and is excavating a recently discovered ancient Greek sanctuary near the colony of Apollonia in central Albania.
