Monachos Nikodimos

Monk Nikodimos was born in 1951 in Athens. He graduated from the 8th Gymnasium of Athens. Until 1972, he attended courses at the Law School of Athens. He interrupted his studies and left for Mount Athos, where he lived as a monk from 1972 to 1990. From 1978 to 1982, he served as Secretary in the Holy Community. He is involved in painting and creative iconography. In 1985, he exhibited his works in Athens. In 1982, he published his first poetry collection titled "Five Eulogies to Solitude." Subsequent publications include: "Poems" in 1983, "Dawn of a New Era" in 1986, "The Color of the Ages" in 1988, "Erotic Assyrian" in 1989, "Collected Moments" in 1991, "The Sacred Texts of a Monk" in 1998, "Because I" in 2000, and "Reforestation of Memory" in 2008. Today, he lives in Athens, where he continues to write and paint.
