Orestis Giotakos

Orestis Giotakos completed his basic studies at the Military Medical School in Thessaloniki in 1985. In 1992, he obtained his specialization in Psychiatry at "Evangelismos" Hospital. In 1998, he earned an MSc in Neuroscience from the Institute of Psychiatry in London, and since 2003, he has been a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Athens. He has an extensive body of written and research work in the field of Psychiatry, particularly in Psychopathology and Prevention. He served as the Director of the Psychiatric Clinic at the 414 Military Hospital of Athens from 2009 to 2016. He is the founder of the NGO "Obrela - Neurosciences & Mental Health" (www.obrela.gr). He is also the Editor of the journal "Dialogues in Clinical Neuroscience & Mental Health" (www.obrela-journal.gr) and the initiator of the "I care for my brain" campaign (www.icareformybrain.org).
