
Aikaterini Sousamidou - Karamperi
Dr. Aikaterini Sousamidou-Karaperi was born in Drama and is a graduate of a Nursery School, a Pedagogical Academy, and a School of Philosophy. She specialized in Cognitive Psychology (postgraduate studies). In 1998, she was awarded a Ph.D. in Psychology with honors from the School of Philosophy at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In 1999, she conducted postdoctoral research with a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY). Since 1983, she has served in public education, initially as a kindergarten teacher, from 1987 as a primary school teacher, and currently as a school counselor in Thessaloniki. She taught psychology at the Pedagogical Institute of Cyprus to newly appointed teachers and served as a school psychologist at the Ministry of Education of Cyprus. Since 2000, she has been teaching developmental psychology and later social psychology at the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki (ATEITH) and health psychology at the Department of Physiotherapy. She has published numerous research papers and co-authored books. She has participated in many conferences, both Greek and international, with presentations or contributions and has taught in seminars. She organizes educational meetings and publishes articles on pedagogical and psychological topics in journals.
