
Alkistis CHoremi - Spetsieri
Graduate and Ph.D. holder from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Athens. She has worked at the Ephorates of Antiquities of Ancient Olympia, Euboea, Corfu, and Thesprotia, and since 1983, at the 1st Ephorate of Prehistoric and Classical Antiquities (Acropolis), where she served as director from 2000 until the end of 2006. She participated in the team organizing the exhibition for the New Acropolis Museum (2008-2009). She has conducted numerous excavations in the Ephorates of Antiquities where she has served and has participated with presentations at international scientific conferences (Italy, America, Spain, England). She has given lectures at the Universities of Athens, Ionian, Perugia, Seville, at the British Museum, as well as at various cultural associations. She has published numerous studies in Greek and international scientific journals, entries in encyclopedias, and dictionaries. She is a member of the Acropolis Monuments Conservation Committee (ESMA), a Fellow of the Archaeological Society at Athens, a member of the Archaeological Institute of Berlin, the International Lexicon of Mythology (LIMC), and vice president of the Friends of the Acropolis Association.
