Frank Zöllner

Professor Frank Zöllner dedicated his doctoral dissertation to the theory of art and architecture (1987) and his habilitation thesis to Leonardo da Vinci (1996). He has published numerous essays on Renaissance art and art theory, as well as on Paul Klee. Since 1996, he has been a professor at the University of Leipzig, where he teaches Renaissance and modern art. With his work "Leonardo da Vinci," which caters to both the general reading public and specialists, he sets a high standard for art-related publications. In 2003, the book was honored with the Paul Marmottan Prize by the Paris Academy of Fine Arts.
