Liana Kallierou - Xyla

Liana Kallierou was born in Athens, where she spent most of her life. She graduated from the American College of Greece and studied Art History at the British Council. She earned a B.A. in Psychology from Deree College, continued her studies in Family Therapy at the University of Chicago, and at the age of 45, obtained an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from California University. She is a member of the American Psychotherapy Association. Liana married at 19, had a daughter at 21, and three years later, she divorced and focused on raising and educating her daughter. Her philanthropic involvement began with her contribution to the Athens Orphanage on Piraeus Street. She then served for 10 years as president of the kindergarten "Sourgitatakia," which hosted underprivileged and orphaned preschool children from PIKPA, under the auspices of the "Ragpickers of Love" Association. Simultaneously, she collaborated in overseeing the state pilot project "Orphaned Children in Subsidized Families."
