Nikolaos K. Laos

Dr. Nikolaos Laos was born in Athens on July 2, 1974. He is internationally recognized as the philosopher of Methexiology, a term he coined and established to refer to a comprehensive philosophical-theological synthesis he developed, encompassing ontology, epistemology, ethics, philosophical psychology, philosophical theology, philosophy of history, philosophy of law, and political theory. The book in which he systematically presented his Methexiology is titled "Methexiology: Philosophical Theology and Theological Philosophy for the Deification of Humanity," published in 2016 by Pickwick Publications, an imprint of Wipf and Stock Publishers (USA). The Greek translation of this book, titled "Μεθεξιολογία: Φιλοσοφική Θεολογία και Θεολογική Φιλοσοφία για τη Θέωση της Ανθρωπότητας," was translated by the author himself and published in 2017 by Diavlos Publications. Additionally, Dr. Nikolaos Laos is an internationally published author in the fields of international politics, cultural diplomacy, philosophy of mathematics, and mathematical analysis. He studied Mathematics, Politics, and Humanities and graduated from the University of La Verne (California) with honors and awards from the university's Department of Mathematics. At the University of La Verne, under the guidance of Professor Themistocles M. Rassias (a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society of London), he conducted advanced research in mathematical analysis, differential geometry, mathematical logic, and philosophy of science, and authored the book "Topics in Mathematical Analysis and Differential Geometry," published in 1998 by World Scientific Publishing Co. as volume 24 of their prestigious Series in Pure Mathematics. Concurrently with his mathematical studies at the University of La Verne, he attended and successfully completed the following courses: "Intellectual History of the U.S. since 1865," "Development of American Democracy," "World Cultures," "Principles of Sociology," "Classical Political Philosophy," "American Government and Politics," "European Government and Politics," and "Political Behavior" at the same university, and conducted research on the applications of logic and mathematics in the study of international affairs. In this context, he authored the book "Theory Construction and Empirical Relevance in International Relations," published in English in 2000 by Ant. N. Sakkoulas Publishers. He expanded this research and formulated a comprehensive philosophy of world order and society with his book "The Metaphysics of World Order: A Synthesis of Philosophy, Theology, and Politics," published in 2015 by Pickwick Publications of Wipf and Stock Publishers (USA). Dr. Nikolaos Laos was awarded a doctorate with distinction in Christian Philosophy by the Academia Theologica de San Andres of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Mexico (Iglesia Ortodoxa Ucraniana en Mexico). He received an A grade in all philosophy and theology courses included in this doctoral program. He has taught international political theory and political philosophy at the University of Indianapolis (Athens Campus) and conducted research at the London Centre of International Relations at the University of Kent and Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Affairs). Additionally, he has developed extensive research and consultancy activities in the fields of noopolitics, geopolitics, global security, and cultural diplomacy, collaborating with various private intelligence companies and research organizations internationally. At the 26th Investiture Ceremony of the Grand Priory of England, Wales, Isle of Man, and Channel Islands of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, which took place on September 27, 2008, at the Church of St. Bartholomew in the City of London, Dr. Nikolaos Laos was awarded the title of Knight of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem by the humanitarian and chivalric organization United Grand Priories of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem. The humanitarian activities of this organization are under the patronage of Lord Robert Balchin, Baron of Lingfield, who belongs to the Conservative Party in the House of Lords of the United Kingdom and is an additional provost of Brunel University. In 2013, on the day the Ukrainian Orthodox Church commemorates Saint Theodosius of Kiev, Dr. Nikolaos Laos received the ecclesiastical title of Chevalier-Grand Profès de l'Ordre des Pauvres Chevaliers du Christ et des Saints Cyrille et Methodie from His Eminence Metropolitan Dr. Daniel (de Jesus Ruiz Flores) of Mexico and All Latin America of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Additionally, on May 8, 2013, His Excellency Dr. Norman S. Dutton, Metropolitan Archbishop of the International Anglican Episcopal Church, conferred upon Dr. Nikolaos Laos the title of Ecclesiastical Duke of Bethphage.
